Kuala Kangsar - The Majestic City

What was there in KK? (Kuala Kangsar).

It was actually my dad's hometown.

When I was a little girl, there was no electricity and water supply to my dad's kampung. So I'd got the experience of 'mandi' perigi (well) and survive the night with the gasoline lights.

It was until I'm about 9 or 10, then only my dad's kampung got to enjoy those facilities, and the phone line 'bout 5 years after that. In short, my late grandma got to enjoy the 'light' as well.

What else was there???...it was all about my dad.

This is dad's first school - S.K. Clifford, KK before he is offered to Sekolah Alam Shah, in KL when he was 16. In fact, he is SAS 2nd batch I think.

(Well, he spent most of his life in KL I guess, hehe)

*********************

MCKK was also there, it is an impressive building i would say (sorry, no pic)

Then, we drove along to the 'istana' area.

This is the Istana ( this palace is more to official ceremony, else the clan will be in Ipoh).

**************************

This is 'Istana Kenangan' i.e. the resting palace.

************************

The oldest majestic mosque, before those modern building technologies were profounded.

Mum told that my grandad was proudly claimed he'd prayed here before (note: my mum's dad was not from Perak).

-Masjid Ubudiah, KK, Perak-

Finally,

Just wanna share something that was not really impressive.

Well, this house is surely gonna be beautiful if it is taken care of. And, i'm also wndering, this house sure gonna has its own story to be told.

I'd even imagining the owners and their kids running around the house with their 70's or 60's outfits.

(haha..i'm one sensitive human towards memories & what's left behind..huhu...)

Penang

School holidays.
Not a school holiday per say coz am not really going somewhere nor relaxing. F got her exams coming in Sept.

Paid a short visit to penang- just 2n 1d.

While on the way, T chose to sleep at the last row. So, memasing can conquer the whole seat.

a very short trip, so stayed at a so-so hotel at Tg. Bungah - Paradise sumting..sumting...cant even recall.

I'd booked thru Asiarooms just a nite before. During the checked in, were told that they havent received our booking yet. ??? gulp.
We booked a family room coz it has 2 queen beds.

Eventually it has been occupied. So, they give another similar room-dunno what type is this, but its not that bad, but it has only 1 queen bed.
the room was a 1 room-studio-like.

The hotel's compound.

************

Then, travel around the island - just to have some sightings

-around Padang Kota Lama-

Dah melantak dan sebagainya (of coz melantak pasemboq kan..), then we drop by at a massage center...(rumh urut la kan...apalagi)..

This is sumwhere in Feringgi.

Nyaman nyer dah kena urut...hmmm..wut a relief!

As usual, the kids the kids just cant let us pampered alone. Theyall pon need that 'take 5'. Haiyooo....as the kids cant have the massage, we'll always let them have the manicure & pedicure. bye bye RM.....(sigh..) - btw, just to get them occupied indeed, so that tak le memekak panggil2 us or so.

So, after we'd the massage, & their nails shining like pearls in the ocean, my T asked me:
'mummy, naper kakak tu, suara macam lelaki, tapi ada pin-pin?' (haiyoo!!!!!!btw, my kids refer breasts as 'pin-pin')

Actually their manicurist are drags, hehe. Dress up like a lady, but can never hide the voice.
So, my doter got confused.

In a thot of that, nowadays, we can see more & more of this additional gender in our society.
If 10 years back, we can only see them aound the Coleseum, Lrg HT, in discos etc, but today, they're everywhere be it in shopping centres and salons.

Then, the new generations will take it as 3 types of gender is a norm????

Awana Kijal 2011

Went to Awana Kijal, Terengganu, during the last school holidays.

This round, we went along wif my parents, my bro n family, and my sis.

View of Awana Kijal, from our room. BTW, we're on the 8th floor. It's all windy.

Perhaps it is still monsoon, u can see the heavy clouds there.

*********

Our room.

Its quite spacious, and comfortable. What I love was that the shower and toilet were split. Thus, got its own room n lock. Senang sikit kut my kids need to do their business even if someone is in the shower, hehe.
***********

My fav spot in Awana Kijal. Each time here, i'll never miss this. This round, went for the massage everyday, and even took my mum to enjoy it as well. (even my girls are busy getting someone to done their hair, grrr. sebok aje...ingat free ke?)

On the 2nd day, I'd took the 'Ultimate Spa Experience' package. Ahhh...I'm rejuvenated...

These are some of the activities there. FYI, u cant swim along Awana's, as it is not that safe. So, most peeps would just enjoy the resort's facilities.

They'd enjoy riding bikes the other day.

Macam adegan dalam drama lak pic bwh ni kan? (my dad trying to pick up some line???, heheh)
H and her sweet little girl

Me,

H and T, together with my bro and his d'ter (yg nampak tangan aje tu), about to take off with the ATV.

Off they go!!!!
ATV ride costs at RM30 (or is it 50?)/ride, i couldnt really recall.

But the bikes are only at RM10/hour.
********

My girls, enjoying the sand, but not so much on the sun. It was, a really sunny day.

I am well pampered that day, wont join any sand nor beach activities, just sat here n worming wif my books.

We'd indeed had a good precious moment that day. Makan, toksah cakap la...sedap manjang..hehe...

Not forget to mention, we'd enjoy the live band the other nite. Bukan ada orang pun, so the kids get down to the dance floor, hahah!!!

*****

We're the bunch of people there....

My bro, mum, sis, me, kiddies, and my sis-in-law. Mum, sis, me, kiddies and H. Dad was not in both pic. ntah mana ntah dia pegi.

Legend Water Villas-PD

Hiyaa...

Another week of struggle, loads of work, staying back and F is having her intensive exams.
So, on the weekend-we're off to PD.

Pardon me, I'd really wanted to share my Cherating trip, but the files are all in my laptop (whilst I'm bringing my netbook tonite).

*******

OK, back to PD, we're from KL when it is almost 12noon.

Port Dickson-at this moment of the year, the sea seems more calm & welcoming compared to those of the eastern ocean.
I'd called up Avillion before but was told it was all fully-booked, grrr...

So we drive straight ahead to Legend Water Chalets.

It seems there are 2 types there, villas with inhouse pool, OR villa without inhouse pool.
Of coz villas with inhouse pool is moreeee thrilled! aint it?

********

Too bad, all almost all are full house, only left the Grand villas.
Then we decided to choose the one with open seaview. woww weee....

Kids on the 'golf cart'.

We need a ride coz our room is quite far ahead.

Views, all the way...

Welcome to our room...

Huge family, yes, this is impressive!

The beds..yayyy, 2 king beds! jut nice for all of us.

Beds comes with an imaculate staircase as well,

lets take a peek at the wash room
the toileteries

Wahh...siap boleh excercise lagik. Macam tau2 aje, daku dah lama tak gi gym. (anyway, try kejap aje, semput lah, hehe)

The kitchenette

pls ignore our stuff :),
*******

And...

The best part are about to come

the pool!!!!!

Its an outdoor pool.

Yes, I'd forgot to mention, there are 2 types, either an indoor pool or an outdoor pool.

Just choose which one suites you better.

We just love the sun shine, so we choose the outdoor pool.
And, we chose, the bestest ever, facing the open sea.
Else, the rest are facing other row of villas.
yumm, yumm....thanks H,
*****

Splish splash time...
After the dinner...
Its raining tonite, so there goes the plan to swim at night, huu...
BTW, all of us seems tired, so might as well, zzzz...
nite nite...
