Spain take on Netherlands for 1-0....

If am not mistaken, no one predict for Spain vs Netherlands, as most of them predicted the South American teams will won the cup this round.

Hmm...what a coincidence; we predicted correctly & TEPAT pulak tu.
BTW, our prediction was submitted way before Mr.Paul d' Octopus came out with his, ya...our closing date was on 2nd July.

Finally...the finals is here....

Its between the Spaniards & the Dutch

Pheww...never thot that our predictions made its way correctly.

Hmm...i dont really fancy any of team, so i just dont even care who's gonna win.

To me, who played well will win, i.e. the best team wins.

But, since we've bank on Spain to win, so.....go Espana, go!!!

And in 2006, when France met Italy, me & H went to B.Bintang to watched it...hmm..what a memory...cuma tak best, coz takde big screen - tak puas nengok.

Me & H siap buat toasted bread & coffee...nyummy...

It was indeed a good game where Spaniards have 57% possesion of the ball.

Both teams shows their enthusiasm, and passion towards winning the match.

What bothers me is that the game is quite harsh in the beginning with 5 yellow cards to the Dutch in the 1st half.

And the above?? this is so..unforgiven & unforgettable..

How can that be? Lucky the ref. is still not that tired, so he wont flag the red card.

After struggling the 90mins, they need an extra time, where somewhere at 26th mins, or 4mins before the end of the extra time, Iniesta made his magical touch.

Yes...they've proven they're the best: Euro Champ & the World's champ.

Tonite....its between German & Uruguay.

My vote goes to German & even the famous Mr.Paul had also choosen German's flag

Tonite..its between these 2..Forlan & Klose...(but sorry, Klose is not playing- missed the match)

Never thot Uruguay can go this far.

But, FYI, Uruguay is the 1st World Cup champion, hoccay?
German won 3-2. Too bad Forlan's final free kick hit the post. Else..there'll be extra time!!! Yayyy...I love extra-time when it is a weekend match, hehe..

Congratulations, they showed a really good match. Fast pace & so much of attacking, but I guess the Spaniards managed to read their game.

Semifinals Updates

4 teams are qualified for the semifinals.

..And by this time, me & geng have completed our 'charity' and our 1st choice of match to be in the final is: Spain vs Netherlands.

We submitted 2 entry form. 1st form, we bet on South America teams i.e. Brazil vs Argentina in the final, & for the 2nd entry, we bet on Europe teams i.e. Spain/Holland.

If Spain won 1-0..wahhhh....

Going back to our semis, as predicted, Holland to swipe it. Yes, they took on Uruguay for 1-0. Robben wif my fav Urugien..haha

As for the 2nd semis between Germany & Spain, surprisingly, Spain has took on Germany for 1-0. waduh2...this is very unpredicted. Bt the way, Spain showed that they really have a strong midfielder, well-controlled of ball & understandings.

Not forgetting, they have one of my fav. keeper-Iker Casillas.

Besides Buffon, I can always count on Casillas in penalties.

Back to the game...

Germans look frustrated. And how cant they be, coz in 2006, they'd loose to Italy which made them finish 3rd, against Brazil

Quaterfinals updates

Of the 16 teams which were able to proceed to the 2nd round, only 8 remains to be in the quater finals.

They are:

Uruguay

Argentina

Germany

Netherlands

Paraguay

Brazil

Portugal

Spain

The following are the results of the quaterfinals:

Uruguay won against Ghana (4-2 on penalties)

(uhh puhlease..i'm with Ghana, to me they played well, its just the luck is not with them)

Netherlands won against Brazil (2-1)

Did anyone predict this correctly??? anyone expected?

Germany won against Argentina

Again, another upset to some, perhaps?

Spain won against Portugal

Hmm..this is surely expected, huh?

With the above, 4 teams will procced to the semifinals, they are....:

Uruguay, Netherlands, Germany & Spain.

Dont Cry For Me ..Argentina...

This WC 2010..for some reason, it was so much of 'upset'.

Besides the elimination of the 2 giants, now, it is the time for the Argentiniens..my 2nd favourite team.

They got eliminated by my 3rd favourite-Germany.

Messi cant really outshines. He was well guarded & locked. poor Messi, I dont think he'd ever scored in this WC.

World Cup 2010 Updates i

This year shows how the big 2 football giants got eliminated during the 1st round.

Yes..they were my Italy and France, which they was 2006 WC Champion & runner-up respectively.

Of coz...I felt like wanna gave-up watching the WC for at least 2 days...(in the state of mourning la konon..) but I just couldnt do it. Theres still plenty of matches to be watched.

Group A: Uruguay & Mexico (unexpected for Uruguay-this is suppose to be France)
Group B: Argentina & South Korea (congrates S.Korea, at least a rep. for Asia)
Group C: USA & England (why must it be so much hu-ha on Englands ability to proceed to 2nd round? hmm)

Group E: Netherlands & Japan (huye for Japan!!-another Asia's rep)
