Singapore - Day 1

Day 1 - 26th Dec. 2008

Made our way to Singapore...my 2nd time, kids' first trip and H's 6th, 7th etc..trips..

Left s.i.l hse at around 9.30am.

smiling faces once boarded fell asleep on the the way to City Square...ngantuk coz kena bangun pagi.

spot this Punto on our way to park the car in city squareDunno the name of this building. But, sort of imigration office for departure to S'pore. The interior design is quite similar to KLIA. Penat oooo..jln kaki kat sini...jauh nyer la haiii....rasa cam masuk walkathon plak.

So, I guess this so called imigration building is actually "Bangunan Sultan Iskandar"
Once passport is checked etc..we board into bus to Woodlands.
While in the bus.

Cars queing to enter S'pore. Can spot the blue car there? It's S'pore's cab.

Once we reach Woodlands, need to get down from the bus for S'pore's imigration pulak...what a hassle...need to Q as some of the counters are unattended..grrr..

Arrive at Kranji MRT station. Yeah, we're officially in S'pore, and the journey began.

H suggested to off to Orchard Road. Took us about half an hour to reach Orchard Rd.

Views around Orchard Rd. Not much difference from KL. The same views but with difference buildings.
Spotted Zara on sales. So, wutelse...damn cheap, especially kids item. Keep on talking to myself "look girls, u're in S'pore. The number will definitely look smaller".

Kept holding hp with calculator features on..sigh...each time, must convert it back to RM to make sure I'm not loosing my track. Overall, its still damn cheap. So, apalagi..makcik zrazzz la...best..best...but not too much as we're only on backpacking.

H is carrying our backpack, dunt wanna loaded him that bad.

A day after christmas, or boxing day, some may call it. So, x'mas decors were everywhere.
ISetan was having a sale for membership etc...shoppers q about 100 meters away from the mall entrance. Just imagine!!!...Cant imagine myself shopping in that crowd...ghhheeezzzeee..sure berasak2..tak sanggop daku..
Posing time!!!...its hard to take photo there. Stupid ppl keep on passing by infront of us, till we'd even snap passers' by pic. Kena pose cepat2, tu yg muka jd tak semenggah.

Such a huge crowd around the Orchard Rd. It was like heading for a rock concert or something. Need to hold F's hand and T need to be carried. Otherwise, they might be missing inside the crowd.

More views around Orchard

Takashimaya shopping complex. The building is sort of Berjaya Time Square in KL. Lotta designers boutiques inside.

Jalan-jalan and bumped into my aunt and her family..gosh, boleh lak terjumpa kat orchrd rd., hehe..
Inside Takashimaya..the huge x'mas tree...(but smaller than KLCC's la..).

Overall decors inside buildings there are not that impressive. Prefer KL's, more merrier and jingles.

Coach. Just a small one?..hmm KL's better . But probably there's a bigger boutique elsewhere which I didn't bumped onto.

Some item on 50% sale...really tempting, but lucky i'm aint in mood for handbag's shopping, so usha2 aje lah...next time maybe. Less choice as boutique is quite small.

told ya...we need to pose in a very minimal seconds, and T is running here n there..and result is...

decide to spend a nite there at Geylang area. Then, we move to Aljunied station to get to Geylang.

Rest a while in the hotel. I'm exhausted!!!

Too bad we stay at redlight district..huh..nowhere to dinner there...

Then, went out to Arab Street or Kg Glam area for dinner.

After dinner, we take cab to Orchard Rd again as our earlier cabbie suggest us to go there as there're many beautiful lights. It cost us around SGD8 (est. RM18) to reach Orchard

Shaw House building.

Drop by at Zara to buy my shirt, H bought his too. Then, went back at around 10pm, Taxi cost us around SGD16 (RM39) to get back to Geylang. Note that there's surcharge after 8pm.

Back to hotel and zzzz..we're really tired. Cant wait for the next day...
